Where would you say the best Desert riding in the country is? For me the best would need to have a wide variety of terrain, a "wet" season and lots of washes.

I would have to say MOAB, there you can go from hi speed sandy washes, dunes, wide open two track, tight single track slot canyon ridding in the 10 Mile Wash area, over to gnarly jeep trails in Prichard Canyon up to high apline trail riding in the La Sal Mountains (13K) all in the same day. I could go on and on, but you have to go there to believe it. The Moab area is also very moto friendly with a lot of BLM land. It is big enough to share with everyone. Ya, I mean everyone.

I think the Cherry Creek/Little Sahara State Park/Jericho area in central Utah rates as one of the best. It has the country's largest in-land sand dunes, excellent Hare and Hound races (with one of them being an AMA Nat'l) and a lot of varying terrain. I lived in that area for a while and missed it when I moved to Phoenix. Which is also a great area to ride desert. :D

    It's Baja.
I have visited there many times for racing or just riding.
It has beautiful forests, dry lakes, rocky mountains, sandy woops ,also silt beds and etc....
I think there is the best.
